General Dental Services

Mercury-Free Dental Fillings

At Lisa Siddall, DDS, PC, your neighborhood Lake Leelanau dentistry, we offer comprehensive general dentistry services to keep your smile healthy, confident and bright. Our team emphasizes the power of preventive care and effective oral hygiene habits to protect your smile for life. As holistic dentists, we look at underlying causes, not just symptoms. We recommend a checkup every six months to stay ahead of any potential problems.

During your regular cleaning appointment, our team will thoroughly assess your teeth and gums for any signs of gum disease, oral cancer or tooth decay. If we see anything concerning, we will listen to all of your thoughts about treatment options. Dr. Siddall and Dr. Dunn are proud to be your partners in protecting your oral health and in promoting your overall health!

Lisa Siddall, DDS, PC offers a full spectrum of holistic general dentistry and preventive dental services, including:

Icon Drill-less Fillings

Unlike traditional fillings, which often require drilling to remove decayed tooth material, Kor drill-less fillings utilize a unique method that gently and effectively treats cavities without the need for drilling. This innovative technique not only reduces the discomfort typically associated with dental procedures but also preserves more of the natural tooth structure.

Gum Disease Screening

Early detection of gum disease can prevent tooth loss years down the road. We will carefully evaluate the attachment levels of your gum tissue, and pinpoint areas that may need interceptive periodontal therapy.

CariVu™ Caries Detection

Tobacco users aren’t the only ones who should be concerned about oral cancer. Oral cancer is on the rise. That’s why at Lisa Siddall, DDS, PC, we provide oral cancer screenings as part of a regular-checkup to all of our patients over the age of 18.

Oral Cancer Screening

Traditional bite-wing x-rays can be uncomfortable, not only for children, but for many adults. CariVu caries detection device uses patented transillumination technology to comfortably detect cavities and cracks in our patients’ teeth with higher accuracy.

Digital X-Rays

Our practice uses digital x-rays to produce enhanced computer images of our patient’s teeth, gums, and other oral structures and conditions. Digital x-rays are key to early detection and effective treatment of dental problems and expose our patients to lower levels of radiation than traditional film x-rays.

Studies have shown that many people are sensitive to the materials contained inside amalgam fillings – including mercury. Instead of using metal fillings, Dr. Siddall completes all fillings using composite, tooth-colored materials and a whole body wellness approach. Dr. Siddall can also safely remove your mercury fillings and replace them with composite fillings.

The Wand® Pain-Free Injection

At Lisa Siddall, DDS, PC, we offer The Wand, a state-of-the-art digital platform for local anesthesia. This pain-free injection is more comfortable than a traditional syringe, reducing your pain and dental anxiety!

Gentle Tooth Extractions

Extraction is a last resort, but sometimes it is necessary. Badly infected teeth can jeopardize the health of their neighbors, including healthy teeth and gums.

Wisdom Teeth Removal

The best time to have wisdom teeth removed is during a patient’s late teenage years or early 20s. These immature wisdom teeth are smaller, so surgery is less complicated and potentially less painful. If your wisdom teeth have not started to erupt, we will use x-ray imaging to locate them and determine if it’s time to have them removed.
